Co-joint couples & Relationship Counseling
At RISE Therapeutic Services we provide couples the opportunity to have their own individual counselor and also participate in Co-Joint sessions in which each individual and their primary therapist meet together and do a session together. Our clients have stated how much this helps them to feel more comfortable discussing with their individual therapist their authentic feelings and having the opportunity to work this through then together later in the co-joint session. Additionally this helps our clients to look at their individual goals for therapy as well as their goals for what they want to work on in their relationship. This provides them increased insight and healthier coping for both interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships, essentially giving them a better chance to understand their struggles as an individual and how that impacts their relationship. Our clinicians work discuss with each couple's unique needs and we come up with an action plan that is unique to the couple and their current situation. We have found that this benefits clients as they have the opportunity to be more authentic and better communicate their needs as an individual and for the relationship in both therapy which then models this outside of therapy as well.
